Hi, I am Paula Isaacks, a trained “Love and Logic” parent instructor. This is my 8th year teaching parenting classes for the McKinney ISD as an “Independent Facilitator”. I have two married sons and four wonderful grandchildren that I continue to use these techniques on a daily basis.
While instructing teachers during in-services, I have been able to provide my experience not only as a trained instructor but also as a parent and grandparent. These classes are designed to provide techniques that can be easily understood and implemented quickly. They also offer both parent and child a way to build self-esteem and become closer to one another.
I also use and instruct the “Love and Logic” skill set as a community volunteer for low-income moms and providing church groups with valuable information that can assist them and their congregation.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Angelo State University, I became a trained teacher and taught Health and Physical Education K-12 and English 7-12 for 15 years. During my time in the Texas public school system, I also coached 7-12 Volleyball, Basketball, Track, and Cross-Country.
I believe that the techniques acquired and utilized through the “Love and Logic” process allow individuals to become better people and, more importantly, better parents. I feel strongly about the curriculum and encourage you to take part in one of my classes so that you too can become the parent you always dreamed of being.
